And as you know, Apple has added support for widgets and application icons as of iOS 14. Thus, the iPhone, which allows you to escape from prison, will make this feature more interesting.
Here, in this tutorial, we will use the latest version of the Checkra1n exploit for iPhone jailbreak. For this method, you will need a Mac or a PC running Linux. You can check below if your device supports this method.

If you have an iPhone from the above list and want to jailbreak it, you can follow this guide. But remember that when you update your iPhone, it will remove the jailbreak from your iPhone. You can then follow the same steps to jailbreak your iPhone again. For better understanding, we will divide the guide into two parts. So let’s start with the requirements.
Requirements :
- Remove Touch ID, access code, facial recognition or any other lock on your iPhone
- It works for iPhones with an A11 or older chip.
- Be sure to make a full backup of your device.
- For this you need a MacOS or Linux computer.
- You can also use this guide for iOS versions 14.5 and earlier.
Steps to install Checkra1n on MacOS
- Download Checkra1n 0.12.2 or higher to your computer.
- Double click on the downloaded dmg file, then drag checra1n into the application and the installation will begin. Replace checkea1n if an older version is already installed.
- Before you open Checkra1n, go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy.
- In the General tab at the bottom, you will see that Checkra1n is not from an identified developer. Click “Open” anyway.
- A confirmation screen will appear, so click Open.
- You can now use Checkra1n on your Mac.
The instructions above are for Mac. If you have Linux, you can easily install this and other software.
Steps to bypass iOS 14.5 with Checkra1n
- Start Checkra1n on your Mac or Linux.
- Connect your iPhone to your computer and Checkra1n will detect your device. Do not use the dock to connect.
- And make sure your device is visible in the Finder. When asked to trust the device, click the “Trust” button.
- Information about the device can be found on the Checkra1n website. Click Start to start the escaping process.
- If the “Start” button is grayed out, go to Options > select “Ignore A11 BPR check” (for A11 devices only) and “Allow untested iOS/iPadOS/tvOS versions”, then try again as described in step 4.
- On the next screen, tap the “Next” button and your iPhone will start in “Recovery Mode”.
- Checkra1n detects your phone in recovery mode and provides boot instructions for DFU mode.
- Following the instructions, press “Start” and then press and hold the “Volume Down” and “Side” buttons simultaneously. After about 4 seconds, release and hold the Side button.
- You can release the volume down button when the blue progress bar appears in Checkra1n.
- Wait for the process to complete, and once it does, the iPhone will boot into the system.
- Unlock your iPhone now and you will find the Checkra1n application in the application menu. Open the Checkra1n application. Don’t forget to connect your iPhone to the Internet.
- In Checkra1n, you will see Cydia, click on it and then click on “Install Cydia”.
- After installing Cydia, open it from the application menu, then go to Edit and update all selected modules.
- After updating the modules, click Restart SpringBoard.
Note: This is a semi-attached method. So, every time you boot up your iPhone, repeat the steps to open Checkra1n on your macOS. You will not lose your data or settings through Cydia.
