Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 update coming soon. UPDATE: Video of TouchWiz UX.
Samsung had promised (or threatened) that they would be updating their Galaxy Tab 10.1 with a new tablet version of their TouchWiz UX. On their phone some people have either loved or hated TouchWiz. This has caused many to be skeptical of how it will be on tablets. Unlike the Android smartphone version, the TouchWiz UX for tablets is not as much as a complete overlay as it more about adding functionality. Back in March we got a demo of TouchWiz UX for tablets. Samsung has stated on their Web Site that this update and other enhancements are “coming soon”.
Besides the TouchWiz UX they will also be adding their Media, Social, and Reader Hubs. They will also be adding features that enterprise users will like such as mobile printing, device encryption, and remote tracking/wiping capabilities. The last major addition will be the addition of Swype. This will be a tablet optimized version of the popular keyboard. There is no exact date of when the update will be available, but hopefully in the next few weeks. Check out Samsung’s posting on the update for more info using the source link.
