Since the Android 3.1 update of Honeycomb has the ability to use keyboards, mice, and other USB devices, it would make sense for a tablet like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which doesn’t have a USB port to come out with a host adapter. This is just what Samsung has made available. The adapter will sell for $19.99.

While other Android 3.1 devices won’t need such an adapter, you have to remember the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is both thinner and lighter then the iPad 2. It was much easier form Samsung to have their one proprietary connection on such a slim device, then a bunch of ports. I am sure we will see an HDMI adapter soon also.
