The first 7 inch Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet was supposed to hit the market this May, and it was to be called the Acer Iconia Tab A100. Just weeks ago we learned that the tablet was being delayed, but no reason was given. Digitimes is reporting that a source has told them the problem is Honeycomb’s compatibility with a 7 inch screen, since all current Honeycomb devices have 10.1 inch screens.

Several apps seem to be having problems on the device, and the source says that Google is busy working to resolve other issues. With the next release of Android known as Ice Cream Sandwich these screen issues should be resolved as it will be the convergence of Android phone and tablet editions. No date has been given to when we will finally see this device hit the market, or what it’s price might be.
