Huawei Ideos S7 Slim hits the FCC.

The original Huawei Ideos S7 was one of the first quality sub $300 Android tablets on the market. Best Buy has carried this device for months. The major problem is it shipped with Android 2.1, and still has not seen a 2.2 update. This meant that device did not support Adobe Flash, or have the other enchantments that Android 2.2 brought to the table. The device also had a resistive touchscreen, though it was one of the best I had ever used.
While the device was well built, it was a bit bulky. The Huawei Ideos S7 Slim should tackle most of those issues. The Slim will have Android 2.2 on it, and as its name suggests its smaller then the original S7 and a capacitive touchscreen. The device has just hit the FCC, so it shouldn’t be long before we see it stateside. We are also still waiting or the Pro which is Huawei’s dual core Android 2.3 tablet. The Slim should continue to be a budget priced device.
