WindPad tablets take 2, MSI to reintroduce them at CES 2011.

Early this year at Computex MSI let the world know about two tablets they were going to release. They were originally promised to be released by years end, but not much news had been heard about them since. There was speculation that they were moved to 2011, and this now this seems to be the case. MSI is going to reintroduce them at CES 2011.
The first tablet is a Windows 7 10.1″ tablet now with an Atom Oak-Trail processor which should give a small bump in both battery life and performance. This tablet measures less than an inch thick and will have a 1024 x 600-resolution, multitouch display, mini-HDMI and mini-USB ports, an SD card slot, and an accelerometer.
The second tablet is an Android tablet running a dual-core Tegra 2 ARM processor. It will also be a 10.1″ tablet but with a 1280 x 600-resolution. It will relatively be the same size as the Windows 7 tablet but slightly thinner. What is unclear is what version of Android will be on these tablet at release time. Rumor is that it will most likely debut with Gingerbread (2.3) unless Honeycomb (3.0) is ready by the March release time of this tablet.
CES 2011 is going to be overflowing with news tablets… We can’t wait!
