It always amazes me how fast things can happen when developers and hackers get an idea in their head. A perfect testimony to this is how quickly the Nook Color was rooted. Well, the developer and hacking community have not been resting on their laurels when it comes to the Nook Color. Android 2.2.1 has been shoehorned on to the 7″ tablet. Now, while it does work their are some caveats. WiFi as well as some other thigs don’t work quite yet. Also, you will need to compile 2.2.1 on your own. So, while it is possible, it’s not without its perils and not for those that are just starting out with Android. If you do decide to update please let us know how it goes.
