Galaxy Tab production cut in half?

According to analyst Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Redshaw Samsung Galaxy Tab production has been cut in half due to lower than expected sales. He also states that the whole tablet market might be cooling down as more people purchase low price laptops and smartphones. Samsung as well as other companies jumped on the tablet band wagon when the iPad took off. Now, however, the market seems to be cooling quite quickly. While I really like tablets I have always thought that they were more for the niche market then main stream. Maybe this is starting to show with predictions like these.
