Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distributions out there. With the release of Ubuntu 10.10 the netbook version has gotten its touch on. The netbook version of Ubuntu has always been better suited for smaller screens and by adding multitouch support it makes sense that tablets would be next.

A video has been posted on Canonical’s Blog showing off touch support in Ubuntu 10.10. Since Ubuntu often runs better on less powerful computers then Windows, it makes sense that many would love to throw this on their PC tablet. I think Canonical should really pull a ringer and release their own Ubuntu branded tablet.
